NETGEAR has announced the availability of a new firmware package targeted at its D7000 wireless router, namely version 1.0.0.26, which adds support for TiVo, CE DFS, SW LED control, UK/ZEN ISP, and UK Talk IPTV, and includes a large number of fixes.

Specifically speaking, this release complies with new FCC 5G, enables jumbo frame by default, enhances 2.4G ACS, and increases max client number to 128. Also, it adds "Service Type" to port forwarding table, updates DSL driver to enhance DSLAM IOT, and implements MAC clone option for USA/Verizon.

In addition to that, NETGEAR managed to fix issues regarding schedule wireless on-off feature, menu and title disorder on ReadyShare page, and IPv4 WAN connection drops while modifying IPv6.

Moreover, version 1.0.0.26 fixes iTunes utility (couldn’t play music), several issues spotted when the D7000 is in AP mode, improper Internet LED behavior, the OpenVPN failures, and various other problems as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

Considering these aspects, if you want to apply the current update, save and unzip the downloadable archive, and write down all settings you have modified from the default values (you might need to re-enter them).

Afterwards, simply connect your router to a computer through an Ethernet cable, log in to the device’s dashboard, go to Advanced > Administration  > Firmware Upgrade, click “Browse,” navigate and select the newly-extracted .img file, and hit “Upload.”

With this in mind, download NETGEAR D7000 Router Firmware 1.0.0.26, apply it to your unit and check our website constantly to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
