NETGEAR has rolled out a new firmware package compatible with its Nighthawk X6 AC3200 (R8000) router, namely version 1.0.3.4, which adds support for ReadyCloud, AP mode detection, IPv6 6rd, and 802.11d standards.

In addition to that, the producer has also managed to fix the Windows 10 Edge and Internet Explorer 11 web browser compatibility issues, as well as the Telefonica IPTV crash problems (disabled CTF in PPPoE mode when IPTV/VLAN is enabled).

When it comes to installation, first make sure that NETGEAR’s router isn’t currently running a firmware version that is either newer or matches this release, and only afterwards save and unzip the downloadable archive.

Moreover, before initiating the upgrade, it would be a good idea to write down all settings changed from the default values, as you might need to re-enter them after applying the new firmware.

If all is OK, save and unzip the downloadable archive, establish a wired connection between the AC3200 unit and a computer, log into its administration page using a web browsers, and go to ADVANCED > Administration > Firmware Upgrade.

Now, hit “Browse,” navigate and select the newly-extracted .chk file, choose “Upload,” and wait patiently for the device to do its job. Do not interrupt this process in any way as this might cause serious malfunctions.

With this in mind, download Netgear R8000 Router Firmware 1.0.3.4, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
