The new firmware update fixes Traffic meter problems

Today, NETGEAR has made available a new firmware update targeted at its D6400 wireless unit, namely version 1.0.0.44, which sets 5GHz CH 157 by default for NA SKUs and moves SP (PPP session ID) and POT to /storage2 partition.

In addition to that, the new release also moves “board_data” and “VPN” to /storage1 folder, updates the wireless driver and the power table for NA SKUs, and displays an alert message when IPTV/LAN4 bridge mode is enabled.

Last but not least, NETGEAR has managed to resolve the issue where a DUT warning page is displayed when reaching the traffic meter limit in which the router is shown as “N1600” instead of “AC1600.”

When it comes to installation, first of all, save all device configuration, as you might need to re-enter it manually once the new firmware is applied, save and unzip the downloadable archive, and log into the router’s web UI.

Now, go to Advanced > Administration > Firmware Upgrade > Browse, select the newly extracted .chk file, hit “Upload,” and simply wait patiently for the new firmware to be applied.

With this in mind, download NETGEAR D6400 Router Firmware 1.0.0.44, apply it, and enjoy all newly made changes. Also, make sure to check our website as often as possible in order to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
