MikroTik has rolled out a new firmware package targeted at quite all of its products, namely version 6.35 RC 7, which resolves the SSH connection stalling, the potential trafflow deadlock, as well as several other issues.

Specifically speaking, this release fixes wireless-rep signal leds and NVv2 protocol, adjusts roaming scan times, resolves CHR high rate limitation and potential IPPool6 crash, and adds support for WPS client and STEP feature (for scan-list).

In addition to that, compatible devices will be able to save wireless scan results to file, configure wireless scan rounds setting, and make use of wireless background scanning, wireless repeater mode, and station roaming in 802.11 protocol.

Moreover, this build also improves nested queue limit calculation, changes system log time, allows manual crl url addition, includes support for ALT38XX LTE modem, and adds several other changes, as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

When it comes to supported architectures, MikroTik has provided its users with separate update packages suitable for TILE, SMIPS, MIPS-BE, x86, PPC, and ARM variants. As for installation, it would be a good idea to check your device’s user manual to make sure you use the correct update method.

With this in mind, download MikroTik RouterOS Firmware 6.35 RC 7, apply it on your device, and come back as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
