Today, MikroTik has made available a new RouterOS firmware package targeted at its devices, namely version 6.35.4, which is compatible with each of its ARM, PPC, MIPS-BE, x86, Tile, and SMIPS architectures.

In terms of changes, the present release makes “dynamic=yes” a read-only option, fixes 802.3ad load balancing mode over tunnels, and adds support for Plextor PX-G128M6e(A) Solid State Drives (SSD) on its CCR1072 routers.

Additionally, the developer has also managed to fix the primary slave assignment for OVPN interfaces after startup, RoMON traffic crashes, as well as the memory leak when setting Ethernet interface without changing the configuration.

If applied, MikroTik’s RouterBoard RV3011 will receive fixes for port flapping issues on ether6-ether10, reset button functionality improvements, and enhance performance when its CPU usage is very high.

Moreover, this new update enables OVPN perfect forwarding secrecy by default, resolves IPSec mode-config export and route cache overflow, and fixes the broken factory voltage calibration data, as well as the incorrect voltage after reboot on RB2011UAS router.

When it comes to installation, since there are a large number of MikroTik products compatible, it would be a good idea to review and understand the instructions for your specific device model, and only afterwards initiate the upgrade.

That said, download MikroTik RouterOS Firmware 6.35.4, carefully apply it on your unit, and enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us constantly to be aware when a newer version is available for download.
