Microsoft has just made available the download links for its April 2016 Cumulative firmware and driver update package targeted at Surface Pro 3 tablets, which is compatible with Windows 8.1 and 10 operating systems.

In terms of changes, these files will update Surface Dock Firmware (1.2.6.0) and integration driver (1.0.6.0), changes that improve stability and compatibility with external monitors and passive video adapters.

When it comes to applying this release, the task can be performed either automatically through Microsoft’s Windows Update service or manually by downloading and installing the update packages.

However, take into account that via the Windows Update service, every update is provided to customers in stages, which means that you might not receive it right now. Still, all Surface devices will get this update at some point.

On the other hand, if you don’t have the time to wait, you can always manually download, extract, and install all the drivers using the link below. Also, after applying all packages, don’t forget to reboot your tablet to ensure all changes take effect properly.

With this in mind, download Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Firmware April 2016, install it and enjoy all changes mentioned above. Also, check our website as often as possible, as we’ll keep you posted when a newer update is available.
