Microsoft has rolled out its April 2016 cumulative firmware and drivers pack targeted at its Surface 3 tablet models, which updates the devices’ IA7260 firmware version to improve mobile broadband network stability.

To be clear about the compatible tablets, the producer has provided several downloadable packages developed for its Surface 3 AT&T 4G LTE, Surface 3 Verizon 4G LTE, and Surface 3 4G LTE Non-AT&T models, for both Windows 8.1 and 10 operating systems.

If you intend to upgrade to this release, you should know that this task can be carried out either automatically via Microsoft’s Windows Update service or manually by downloading and installing the package.

Even though the first method is easier, take into account that not all Surface owners will receive this new firmware at the same time as the producer provides every new update in stages. In other words, you might need to wait for this April 2016 release to reach your tablet.

However, if you are anxious about the new update and want it now, you can also apply it by manually saving and installing one of the 2 downloadable archives: for Windows 8.1 and for Windows 10.

Sill, do not forget that this release is only targeted at the aforementioned Surface 3 tablets. Also, make sure to reboot your device manually (if not requested automatically), to ensure all changes take effect properly.

That being said, download Microsoft Surface 3 April 2016 Firmware, install it, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
