Microsoft has announced the availability of a new cumulative firmware and driver update package for its Surface 3 devices, namely the May 2016 release, which should improve mobile broadband network stability through the 1524.5.48.30 Surface IA7260 Firmware version.

However, take into account that the present update is only suitable for Surface 3 (4G LTE) in Europe and Surface 3 (Y!mobile 4G LTE) tablet editions. Do not try installing this package on other versions as this can render the device unusable.

With this in mind, if you want to benefit from these improvements, you should know that the update can be applied either automatically through Microsoft’s Windows Update service, or manually by downloading and installing this release.

Through the Windows Update service, the package will be provided to all customers in stages. Thus, you might not receive it right now and have to wait a little while. Still, Microsoft ensures all Surface owners that their devices will get this update at some point.

If you are excited about this release and want it now, then save the downloadable ZIP or MSI file, and apply it on your Surface tablet. Still, bear in mind that the device must be powered by Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 or 10 operating system.

That said, download Microsoft Surface 3 Tablet Firmware/Driver May 2016, install it, and check our website as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
