The release includes a newer version of HD Graphics driver

Microsoft has just made available the download links that provide the August cumulative firmware and driver update packages for its Surface Pro 2 and Pro 3 tablets, which are only compatible with the producer’s Windows 10 operating system.

In terms of changes, both releases include a newer HD Graphics Family driver update, namely version 10.18.15.4256, which should improve stability as well as graphics performance while running Microsoft’s latest Windows OS.

When it comes to upgrading to this August release, the task can be performed either automatically through Microsoft’s Windows Update service or manually by downloading and installing the update packages.

However, take into account that via the Windows Update service, every update is provided to customers in stages, which means that you might not receive it right now. Still, all Surface devices will get this update at some point.

On the other hand, if you don’t have the time to wait for your device to update itself, you can always manually download, extract, and install all the drivers using the links below. Sill, don’t forget that this package is only compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 10 platform.

Last but not least, after applying all packages, it would be a good idea to reboot your tablet manually (if not requested automatically), to ensure all changes take effect properly.

With this in mind, download Microsoft Surface Pro 2 Firmware August 2015 or download Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Firmware August 2015, install it, and check our website as often as possible, as we’ll keep you posted when a newer update is available.
