Just now, Linksys has rolled out a new firmware package compatible with its EA6350 Smart wireless router, namely version 1.04 build 164719, which complies with 2015 CE standard requirements.

Specifically speaking, the current release adds additional security to protect unauthorized access to router log files, fixes UPnP Security issues and improves 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi performance. Moreover, Linksys has also managed to implement setup experience enhancements from iOS devices.

In terms of installation, first save the downloadable file, log into your router’s dashboard using the username and password, go to Connectivity, and hit “Choose File” button under the Firmware Upgrade section.

Now, just navigate and select the newly-saved .img file, click the “Start” button, and wait patiently as the device does its job.

However, bear in mind that during this process, you mustn’t power off/restart the router, or remove its Ethernet/Power cable. Doing so can lead to various malfunctions and can even render the wireless unit unusable.

Last but not least, upon completion, the wizard will request your permission to restart the router so that all changes can take effect properly. After that, the Wi-Fi Account will display a “Firmware update complete” message meaning the process is successful.

That said, download Linksys EA6350v1 Router Firmware 1.0.4.164719, carefully apply it on your unit, and constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
