Intel has announced the availability of its new 3.3.2 SSD Toolbox, which includes the 8EV10171 and 8B1B0131 firmware and bootloader versions, respectively, which are targeted at the producer’s SSD 750 series.

In terms of changes, the compatible SSD models will receive a Windows driver update that should fix some bugs, various improvements to product health, as well as enhancements for the drive’s TRIM IOPS operation.

Moreover, firmware 8EV10171 will add a Vendor Unique Command in order to change SMBus address on “NVMeTM Basic Management Command,” as well as In-field Drive Configuration Update capabilities.

As for the 3.3.2 Toolbox, Intel has fixed an issue with SMART and Health Log readings that has been spotted on NVMe products.

When it comes to compatible operating systems, the newly released solid-state drive toolbox can be installed on configurations running under Microsoft’s Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, Server 2008, and Server 2008 R2 platforms.

Last but not least, if you intend to make use of these changes, simply save the downloadable executable, run it to start the wizard, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful installation.

Afterwards, open Intel’s 3.3.2 SSD Toolbox, back up all important files stored on your 750 series drive, and upgrade its firmware to the latest version.
