Intel has rolled out a new version of its Iris and HD Graphics driver, namely the 23.20.16.4944 update, which improves Vulkan memory usage, optimizes memory usage for HEVC encoding, and supports a large number of games.

In addition to that, the current release adds beta gaming feature that allows users to configure a game to work optimally for their particular systems, resolves Just Cause 3 anomalies, and shrinks the load times for some tracks in Forza Motorsport 7.

Moreover, build 4944 fixes the crashes and hangs encountered in The Evil Within 2, DaVinci Resolve, and War Thunder titles, resolves the black screens seen with some 4K monitors and removes the flickering observed in Windows Mixed Reality.

Last but not least, Intel has also managed to improve graphics workloads performance for 6th Gen Core processors, add Power saving optimizations on all 7th Gen Core CPUs, and implement other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

In terms of compatibility, Intel’s update is suitable for configurations running Microsoft’s Windows 10 64-bit operating system, and only for those including a supported CPU model as highlighted on the description page.

When it comes to installation, first make sure your system is valid for this new driver, save and unzip the downloadable archive, and run the available setup file. Afterward, just follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful upgrade.

In addition to that, once finished, it would be a good idea to perform a system reboot to allow the changes to take effect. If this task isn’t requested automatically, make sure to carry it out manually.

That said, download Intel Iris/HD Graphics Driver 23.20.16.4944, apply it, and regularly check our website to be the first to know when a newer and stable version is available for your device.
