Intel has made available a new version of its HD Graphics driver, namely the 22.20.16.4729 update, which improves performance for Fortnite, Gigantic, and Minecraft Story Mode: Season 2 titles.

In addition to that, the 4729 build also adds performance optimizations and playability improvements for games such as Pyre, Master x Master, Secret World Legends, and Pit People on processors with Intel HD Graphics 620 or better.

If applied, Intel’s update adds support for OpenGL 4.5, Vulkan 1.0.38, Computer Vision SDK, and Deep Learning Deployment Toolkits, and enables OpenCL media extensions, Programmable Sample Positions, and Windows 10 Creators Update features (only on 7th Gen Core CPUs).

As for fixes, this driver resolves texture flickering in Halo 2 and other DX9 games, as well as graphical anomalies in Guilty Gear Xrd, Fallout 4, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Guild Wars 2, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Rainbow Six Siege, For Honor, Watch Dogs 2, and other games.

Moreover, users won’t experience any more crashes or hangs in Guild Wars 2, DOTA 2 and The Talos Principle, incorrect resolution cap when auto-detecting virtual displays, or anomalies during fullscreen video playback (for tablet owners).

When it comes to installation, simply save and extract the downloadable archive, locate and run the available setup file, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade. Also, don’t forget to reboot your device to make sure all changes take effect.
