In terms of changes, Intel’s 0056 release adds patch code for SA50011, EBDA, and ITK, and updates the NVMe module to NVMe_04, BootScriptHide to 02, as well as TCG to TCG_10.
As for the 0359 versions, this package implements security enhancements, updates BootScriptHide module to BootScriptHide_02, fixes missing voltages in Cooling Page, and adds support for loading data from file to platform.
In addition to that, this update also resolves the inactive Home Page 3 and Performance links on NUC theme, includes support for legacy boot options and allows booting to multiple partitions on the same device from Visual Boot Manager.
Last but not least, Intel 0359 BIOS removes the bug that allowed unsupported keys to be entered in passwords, and fixes hang when using keyboard to configure a drop-down control.
When it comes to installation, since there are several downloadable packages, know that the Recovery BIOS Update file is to be used for an F7 BIOS Update method, whereas the iflash-related archive can apply version 0042 only from a USB or CD drive.
As for the 2 Express BIOS Update executables, these packages must be run directly from a Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 operating systems (a file for each bit architecture).
