Intel has announced the availability of the 21.0.0 PROSet/Wireless version compatible with most of its network adapters, which is targeted at both end users (home users and business customers) who do not need advanced tools, as well as IT administrators.

In terms of changes, the present update removes a bug that affected Bluetooth throughput performance, fixes an issue that caused BSOD during Internet browsing, Restart or Sleep/Hibernate cycle, and makes sure “Limited Connectivity” notification is not displayed when resuming from Sleep mode.

When it comes to supported operating systems, this release can be applied on configurations powered by one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 platforms, either 32- or 64-bit variants. Also, take into account that there are separate packages suitable for certain OSes.

Last but not least, know that your configuration must also include a supported adapter; since this release consists of several files and not all components are compatible with each operating system, make sure to check the description page of each download.

Specifically speaking, Intel has released 6 drivers-with WiFi software drivers, one for each OS and bit-architecture. These files are recommended for end-customers who don’t make use of advanced administrative tools.

As for IT administrators, Intel provides 6 drivers-only archives, 2 drivers-with Intel PROSet/Wireless software distribution packages (one for each bit variant of the compatible OSes), and a bundle zip archive including all aforementioned files.

Therefore, depending on your needs and system configuration, download Intel PROSet/Wireless Driver 21.0.0, apply it and don’t forget to reboot your computer afterward. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
