Intel has rolled out a new version of its HD Graphics driver, namely the 26.20.100.6890 build, which promises an optimal gaming experience for Layers of Fear 2, adds stability and security improvements, and improves support for DP-VGA dongles and HDR monitors/panels.

In addition to that, the producer also highlights that its 6890 build resolves crashes/hangs seen in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, fixes Creo View 5.1 (OpenGL) corruptions, and makes sure Rust (Vulkan) and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 (DX12) do not encounter any graphics anomalies.

Moreover, the current release improves performance when Conservative Morphological Anti-Aliasing (CMAA) is enabled for DX12 games and 3D apps, and implements other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

In terms of compatibility, the present update is provided in both .exe and .zip file formats that are suitable for the 64-bit architecture of Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating systems. Moreover, make sure your system configuration includes a supported processor.

As for installation, save the downloadable file (if the zip package is chosen, make sure to extract it), close all programs and processes that might interfere with the upgrade, run the available setup file, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen.
