Today, Realtek has announced the availability of two new network drivers targeted at its PCI and PCIe Gigabit and Fast Ethernet adapters, namely versions 7.092 and 8.038, which might enhance the system’s overall connection stability.

To be clear about these new versions, the 7.092 driver is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Windows 7 operating system, as well as with Microsoft’s Windows Server 2008 R2 platforms.

As for the 8.038 package, this build can be applied on system configurations powered by one of Microsoft’s Windows 8 or 8.1 OSes (either bit variant), as well as its Server 2012 platforms.

When it comes to installation, first of all make sure your computer includes a compatible Realtek Ethernet controller (listed at the end of this article), save and unzip the appropriate archive for your computer, and run the available setup.

Afterwards, simply follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful upgrade, and also allow the wizard to perform a reboot in order to allow all changes to take effect. However, if this task isn’t requested, it would be a good idea to perform it manually.

Last but not least, we recommend that you apply these new drivers only on the above-specified platforms, so that no problems are encountered – bear in mind that trying to do otherwise might result in system malfunction.

That being said, download Realtek PCIe LAN Driver 7.092 or download Realtek PCIe LAN Driver 8.038, install it on your computer, and constantly check our website to be aware when a newer version is available.
