GoPro has just announced the availability of firmware 02.00 targeted at its HERO5 Black and Session action cameras, which implements new GoPro Plus features, allows GoPro Plus manual upload of selected content, and adds new languages for camera and voice control.

In addition to that, the HERO5 Black camera alone gets new settings for date and time format (based on language selection), small touch display optimizations, as well as the ability to extract a photo from a multi-shot series.

Moreover, this device also receives new selectable options for its Shutter setting for Photo capture mode in Protune, Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) for Time Lapse Photo, and RAW Format for Time Lapse Photo, Night Lapse Photo, and Night photo menus.

When it comes to HERO5 Session model, this update implements 4K24 video resolution, enables all FOVs in 1080p48 setting, adds the ability to reformat the SD card directly from the camera, and optimizes power state for an increased battery life.

In terms of installation, simply save and unzip the downloadable archive, copy the newly-created “UPDATE” folder onto a compatible memory card, and insert it into your device while it’s powered off.

Afterward, just power the HERO5 on, and it will automatically initiate the upgrade. Bear in mind that during the installation your camera will reboot several times, therefore make sure you don’t interrupt the process in any way.

That said, download GoPro HERO5 Camera Firmware 02.00 for your specific device model, take into account all aspects as mentioned earlier, and constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
