GoPro, well known for its action cameras that allow owners to test their limits, has announced the availability of a new firmware package developed for its latest HERO+ device, namely version 1.50.

This new update will give you the ability to turn the wireless connection off through GoPro’s application, as well as various other improvements and bug fixes.

In addition to that, it resolves a bug that might have caused higher battery consumption and unstable wireless connection when used along with the GoPro application or a Smart Remote device.

Regarding installation, simply save and unzip the downloadable archive, transfer the newly-created “UPDATE” folder onto a formatted memory card, and safely remove it from your computer. Afterwards, power off your action camera, insert the SD card and turn the unit back on.

Now, the device will automatically cycle through some beeps, reboot once, and if all is OK, it should display an “UPDATING” message on its screen.

Finally, if completed and the “UPDATE COMPLETE” message is displayed, make sure that you remove and format the memory card to avoid any problems. Also, if you get a “Camera Update Failed” error, remove and re-insert the unit’s battery, and restart the whole process.

With this in mind, download GoPro HERO+ Camera Firmware 1.50, follow all steps described above to properly apply it on your device and enjoy the changes brought by this new release.
