NVIDIA has made available a new GeForce Graphics hotfix, namely driver version 381.78, which fixes an issue encountered with Windows 10 Creators Update where the system would boot to a black screen on certain notebooks.

In terms of supported platforms, this new release is suitable only for notebook configurations powered by Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating systems (either 32- or 64-bit variants). Do not try applying the available files on other platforms, as this can lead to various malfunctions.

When it comes to installation, first of all, make sure to save the package that is specifically designed to work with your notebook, and close all programs and processes that might interfere with the upgrade.

Afterward, run the downloaded executable, wait as the wizard extracts all files required for the update, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete and successful installation.

Last but not least, once the upgrade has finished, it would be a good idea to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically by the wizard, however, make sure to carry it out manually so that no problems appear.

That said, download NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 381.78 Hotfix, apply it on your device, and enjoy your newly-improved system. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
