The release improves functionality when using a flash system

Just now, Fujifilm has made available a new firmware package targeted at its X-T1 digital camera model, namely version 1.01, which improves the unit’s overall functionality when using it with a flash device.

In addition to that, the producer also removes a bug that slipped along with the previous Fujifilm X-T1 Firmware 5.00 (after an upgrade from version 4.31), where the functions allocated to the Front command dial became disabled.

If you want to enjoy these changes, save the downloadable package, transfer it onto a formatted memory card, make sure that the battery is fully charged (failing to perform the upgrade due to the camera turning off might lead to malfunctions), and insert the card into the camera.

Afterward, power on the X-T1 unit, press the “DISP/BACK” button to display the current firmware version, select “Ok,” confirm the item as “Body,” and agree with the next dialogs regarding the upgrade process.

Still, bear in mind that the installation should take roughly 90 seconds to complete, and if this takes longer, please be patient and do not turn off the camera or remove the memory card. Doing so can cause serious problems or even render the camera unusable.

Once completed, it would be a good idea to remove the SD card used in this process and check the device’s current firmware version to ensure that the upgrade has been successful.

That said, download Fujifilm X-T1 Camera Firmware 5.01, carefully apply it on your device, and enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
