The new release improves image quality in certain situations

Fujifilm has made available a new firmware package targeted at its latest digital camera model, namely version 1.01 compatible with the X-Pro2, which adds image quality improvements when shooting in the long exposure mode.

In addition to that, even though it was encountered in rare cases, the issue where established customized menu settings were reset to factory defaults when turning the camera off has also been resolved.

Therefore, if you want to make use of these changes, save the downloadable package, transfer it onto a formatted memory card, and insert the card into the camera. Before moving forward, make sure to use a fully charged battery, as failing to perform the upgrade due to the camera turning off might lead to malfunctions.

If all is OK, power on the X-Pro2 unit, press the “DISP/BACK” button to display the current firmware version, select “Ok,” confirm the item as “Body,”and agree with the next dialogs regarding the upgrade process.

Still, bear in mind that the installation should take roughly 90 seconds to complete, and if this takes longer, please be patient and do not turn off the camera or remove the memory card. Doing so can cause serious problems or even render the camera unusable.

Once completed, it would be a good idea to remove the SD card used in this process and check the device’s current firmware version to ensure that the upgrade has been successful.

That said, download Fujifilm X-Pro2 Camera Firmware 1.01, carefully apply it on your device, and enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
