This current firmware update adds Bright and Night+ modes

Today, Fujifilm has announced the availability of a new firmware package compatible with its X-A5 and X-T100 digital cameras, namely version 2.00, which add “Bright” mode that allows users to shoot more brightly and vividly when selecting the “Advanced SR Auto.”

In addition to that, the current update allows customizing skin tone by using the “Portrait Enhancer” mode (can be adjusted in 5 levels), as well as adds “Night+” mode that helps taking pictures in night scenes by automatically setting the ISO, brightness, and vividness.

Therefore, if you consider upgrading to this release, first of all, make sure of the following: that the camera’s battery is fully charged, a formatted memory card is available, and the currently installed version isn’t either newer or matching this update.

If all is OK, save the downloadable .DAT file onto the memory card, insert it into your camera while it’s turned off, and power on the unit by pressing the “DISP/BACK” button.

Now, follow all instructions displayed: choose “Yes,” select the body item, agree with the firmware upgrade, and wait patiently for the process to finish. Also, make sure not to turn off the device or remove its battery/SD card - doing so will cause serious malfunctions.

After about 90 seconds, once the upgrade has been completed, it is recommended that you turn off your camera, remove its memory card, and check to see if the currently installed firmware version now reads 2.00.

That said, download Fujifilm X-A5 Camera Firmware 2.00 or download Fujifilm X-T100 Camera Firmware 2.00, apply it on your device, and enjoy the changes that this new release brings about.
