Adds Flicker Reduction, Select Folder, and Create Folder

Fujifilm has rolled out a new firmware package developed for its X-Pro2 digital camera, namely versions 5.00, which gives users the ability to reduce flicker in pictures and the display when shooting under fluorescent lighting (or similar).

In addition to that, the release adds Select Folder and Create Folder options for choosing where subsequent pictures will be stored (supports five-character names), and implements new store and read of settings via FUJIFILM X Acquire.

Moreover, the 5.00 update enhances the performance of the AF algorithm, allows users to enlarge indicators and information in the viewfinder, and implements other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

Therefore, save the downloadable package, transfer it onto a formatted memory card, and insert the card into the camera. Now, power on the X-Pro2 unit, press the “DISP/BACK” button to display the current firmware version, select “Ok,” confirm the item as “Body,” and agree with the next dialogs regarding the upgrade process.

Still, bear in mind that the installation should take roughly 90 seconds to complete, and if this takes longer, please be patient and do not turn off the camera or remove the memory card. Doing so can cause serious problems or even render the camera unusable.

Once completed, it would be a good idea to remove the SD card used in this process and check the device’s current firmware version to ensure that the upgrade has been successful.

That said, download Fujifilm X-Pro2 Camera Firmware 5.00, carefully apply it on your device, and enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
