The update allows images to be transferred to Windows 10 PCs

Today, Fujifilm has made available a new firmware package targeted at its X-A2 digital camera, namely version 1.01, which removes the bug that prevented multimedia content, such as images and videos, from being transferred between the camera and Windows 10 PCs through a USB cable.

Since there are more devices encountering this problem, the producer highlights that, by the end of December 2015, some of its cameras (such as X-E1, X-M1, X-A1, X100, X10, XQ1, XF1, X-S1, and several others) will receive new firmware for fixing this issue.

In terms of installation, first of all, make sure your camera’s firmware isn’t either newer or matching the present update. To check this aspect, simply power on the unit while holding “Disp/Back” button.

If all is OK, save the downloadable .DAT file onto a formatted memory card (must be initiated using the camera), turn off the Fujifilm unit, and insert the newly prepared card into the appropriate slot.

Afterwards, turn off the camera while pressing the “Disp/Back” button, and carefully follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a successful installation. Also, once completed, make sure to remove and format the card once more, as well as check the currently installed firmware.

That being said, download Fujifilm X-A2 Camera Firmware 1.01, carefully apply it on your device, and constantly check our website in order to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
