Today, Fujifilm has rolled out two new firmware packages developed for its X-Pro1 and X-Pro2 digital cameras, namely versions 3.70 and 2.00, respectively, which resolve the CORRECTED AF FRAME in the OVF and add several other changes for the X-Pro2 device.

Specifically speaking, the 2.00 firmware increases the NUMBER OF THE FOCUS POINT, improves phase detection AF accuracy, enhances the AF tracking function (CONTINUOUS L) in AF-C mode, and changes Eye Detection AF focus point.

In addition to that, the update adds STILL IMAGE in the AF-C mode (CONTINUOUS L), makes sure the AF tracking function works while CONTINUOUS or CONTINUOUS H shooting is activated in AF-C mode, and improves OIS function when using Electronic Shutter.

Moreover, the unit’s POWER MANAGEMENT menu receives an AUTO POWER SAVE option, the AUTO POWER OFF setting now has 15 SEC, 30 SEC, and 1 MIN choices, and the BUTTON/DIAL SETTING screen gets an S.S OPERATION to configure shutter-speed fine-tuning.

Last but not least, the X-Pro2 unit also benefits from fixes regarding OVF magnification and movement, live view frames, exposure, and other features. Also, both cameras should upgrade their FUJINON Lenses Firmware before applying these updates.

That said, download Fujifilm X-Pro1 Camera Firmware 3.70 or download Fujifilm X-Pro2 Camera Firmware 2.00, familiarize yourself with the changelog and installation instructions, and carefully apply the new version to the camera.
