Saving WLAN settings in IE won’t return any errors

Today, Dovado has made available a new firmware package compatible with its Tiny AC and Pro wireless routers, namely version 8.2.5, which resolves a few problems that might have slipped along with the previous update.

Specifically speaking, the present release fixes the bug that prevented both models from saving WLAN settings in Internet Explorer, as well as the issue with garbled PPP username and password for Modem settings page encountered by the Dovado Pro router.

When it comes to installation, first of all, make sure that your wireless unit isn’t already running the present version (or newer), and if all is OK, save and unzip the downloadable archive for your router model, and log into the dashboard (username and password are required).

Now, go to Upgrade > HTTP Upgrade, click the “Browse” button, navigate and select the newly extracted .bin file, hit “Start HTTP Upgrade,” and allow the router to do its job (it takes about 3 minutes to complete).

Bear in mind that you mustn’t power off, use any of the router’s buttons, or interrupt the installation process in any way, as this will cause an update failure that can lead to serious device malfunctions, and can even render the device unusable.

With this in mind, download DOVADO Router Firmware 8.2.5 for your specific device model, take into account all the aspects mentioned above, and apply the latest version on your router.
