ASUS has provided a new firmware package developed for its RT-AC66R, RT-AC66W, and RT-AC66U router models, namely version 3.0.0.4.380.4180, which manages to resolve issues regarding Dual-WAN spotted in PPPoE, PPTP, or L2TP + DHCP environments.

Moreover, the producer has also updated the OpenSSL library and Dropbear SSH versions to 1.0.2j and 2016.74, respectively, due to some security issues, added Brute-force attack protection, as well as fixed certain security vulnerabilities regarding XSS and CSRF.

In addition to that, the present version improves compatibility with Chrome, Edge, and IE, resolves a NAT issue caused by UPnP media server, includes support for Google DDNS and Docomo L-03D 3G/LTE USB dongle, and updates NAT Acceleration setting help message.

Last but not least, via its 380.4180 build, ASUS successfully resolved AiCloud-related issues, modified the Quick Internet Setting wizard behavior, and enabled Smart Sync under AP/Media Bridge/ Repeater modes.

As for applying these releases, simply save and extract the appropriate package for your device, initiate the upgrade from your router’s Firmware Update section, and allow it to do its job.
