This new update enhances overall stability during playback

Today, Panasonic has announced the availability of its 1.2 firmware package developed for Lumix SZ8 digital camera models, which improves the device’s overall stability and usability under playback motion pictures.

In order to benefit from these improvements, you should take into account a firmware upgrade. However, before initiating this process, make sure you go to Mode > Normal Picture > Menu > Setup > Version Disp. and check the currently installed version.

If the camera’s present firmware isn’t either newer or matching this release, save and unzip the downloadable archive, format a compatible SD memory card using your Panasonic Lumix unit, and move the “CK36310.elf” file and firmware folder onto the card’s root directory.

Afterwards, power off your camera, insert the newly prepared SD card, and turn the unit on while holding zoom level to wide side so that your device can enter upgrade mode.

At this point, an update-related screen should be displayed, agree with it by choosing “Yes,” and wait for your camera to do its job. Do not turn off your unit, remove the SD card or disconnect the battery - doing so might cause serious device malfunctions.

Last but not least, once the upgrade has completed and the Lumix SZ8 has turned off, make sure to power it back on, check its currently installed firmware once more to ensure the process has been successful, and remove the SD card.

With this in mind, download Panasonic DMC-SZ8 Camera Firmware 1.3, take into account all aspects described above, upgrade your device, and constantly check our website as often as possible in order to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
