The new firmware release fixes the Appscan security issue

NETGEAR has made available a new firmware package compatible with its D7000 wireless router, namely version 1.0.0.32, which fixes the IPv6 issue spotted on Comcast, as well as the problem where large file readiness isn’t supported.

In addition to that, this release resolves the Appscan security issue, fixes several connection problems regarding LAN and IPv6, and removes the bug that didn’t display Edit page when Access Control is enabled (this happened after a factory default).

Last but not least, version 1.0.0.32 also displays an alert message when selecting USA/AT&T during setup, adds support for IPTV bridge mode (only for ISPs that require this option), and fixes the issue where 5G explanation page isn’t shown when in AP mode.

Now, to enjoy these new changes, first find out your router’s currently installed firmware version, and make sure it isn’t newer or matching this release. If all is OK, save and unzip the downloadable archive, and establish a wired connection between your D7000 and a computer.

Afterwards, log into its dashboard, go to Advanced > Administration > Firmware Upgrade, click the “Browse” button, navigate and select the newly unzipped .img file, click “Upload,” and wait as the router does its job.

However, bear in mind that, while upgrading, you mustn’t reboot/power off either the router or the computer, remove the Ethernet cable, or interrupt the process in any way. Doing so might cause various malfunctions that you would rather avoid.

That said, download NETGEAR D7000 Router Firmware 1.0.0.32, apply it, and check our website constantly to be informed when newer versions are available for your device.
