FiiO has rolled out a new firmware package targeted at its M3 audio player, namely version 1.9, which manages to fix the device’s Hold function that wouldn’t work while charging the player with the screen off, as well as an issue affecting its idle power off function.

In addition to that, the producer adds Fast forward/Rewind support via in-line control, removes the occasional noise heard when playing certain WAVs, and makes sure the total number of tracks displayed in the Now Playing menu is accurate even after deleting a track.

Moreover, version 1.9 also fixes some bugs that prevented some buttons from working properly when switching off the Hold button and ensures the Control buttons stop functioning while charging the player (only when turned off).

When it comes to installation, first make sure that the player’s battery is fully charged, save and unzip the downloadable archive, and transfer the “m3.hex” file onto an FAT32-formatted microSD memory card.

Afterward, connect the card to the M3 unit, turn the device on while holding the “Shortcuts” key, and wait patiently as the player does its job. Still, don’t forget that interrupting this process in any way can lead to various malfunctions.

That said, download FiiO M3 Portable Player Firmware 1.9, carefully follow all steps described above and enjoy your newly improved device. Also, constantly check our website to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
