Microsoft has made available the download links for its February 2016 cumulative firmware and drivers pack developed for Surface Pro 2 tablets, which is compatible with the producer’s Windows 8.1 and 10 operating systems.

In terms of changes, on both OSes the update installs a new Surface Pro System Aggregator firmware (version 2.4.450.0) that should resolve the issue where the device wakes randomly.

As for Windows 10 alone, this platform receives the 2.0.306.0 Surface Cover Audio driver that improves system stability when detaching the cover, as well as the 1.2.0.2 Surface ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery driver to ensure that the correct surface files are installed.

Moreover, Microsoft’s also installs Intel HD Graphics driver 20.19.15.4331 that improves color calibration and system stability, and the 6.16.00.3189 Intel Display Audio package to provide compatibility with the aforementioned driver.

Now, if the present update hasn’t been already installed through Microsoft’s Windows Update service, you can manually download and apply it to your device. Therefore, save the downloadable archive suitable for the device’s OS, and apply it on your Surface tablet.
