EVGA has made available new BIOS packages compatible with its Intel X99 chipset-based motherboards, namely versions 2.03 and 2.04, which implement support for G.Skill RGB LED memory modules.

To be clear, the 2.03 update is suitable for EVGA’s X99 FTW, FTW-K, Micro, and Micro 2 device models, while its 2.04 BIOS package is only compatible with the EVGA X99 Classified motherboard.

If you intend to apply these versions, save and extract the relevant archive, go into BIOS and load the default settings (flashing BIOS on overclocked settings isn’t recommended), and close all programs and processes that might interfere with the upgrade.

Afterward, run the “update.bat” file from within the newly created folder, press “Y” to initiate the process, and wait for the new BIOS to be applied. Bear in mind that during the installation you mustn’t reboot or power off the system as this can cause serious malfunctions.

After the BIOS has finished updating and the computer restarts automatically, go to the BIOS setup menu once more, and check to see if the upgrade has been successful by reviewing the currently installed BIOS version.
