Intel has made available a new Wireless Bluetooth update developed for several of its adapters, namely version 20.90.1 which makes sure Bluetooth headphone control buttons work in Power DVD, and add general stability improvements and optimizations.

In addition to that, the current release will also remove some bugs that prevented sending or receiving files larger than 1MB via Bluetooth, and fixes the yellow bang seen in Device Manager after installing the 20.60.0.4 driver.

Regarding the supported hardware, the 20.90.1 version is suitable for Intel’s Tri-Band Wireless-AC 17265, 18260, and 18265 adapters, as well as for the Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160, 3165, 3168, 7260 (+for Desktop), 7265, 8260, 8265 (+Desktop Kit) models.

Moreover, the update is also compatible with the Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 and 7265 controllers, the Wireless-AC 9260, 9461, 9462, and 9560 devices, and the Wireless-N 7260 and 7265 products.

When it comes to operating systems, version 20.90.1 is targeted at 32- and 64-bit variants of Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 platforms, for both end users and IT administrators. However, know that not all adapters mentioned above are supported on each OS.

As far as installation goes, the process is straightforward: save the appropriate package suitable for your system configuration and bit variant, run it, and follow all instructions displayed for a complete and successful upgrade.

In addition to that, once the installation has finished, it would be a good idea to perform a reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically, make sure to carry it out manually.

Considering all aspects mentioned above, download Intel Wireless Bluetooth Driver 20.90.1 that is valid for computer configuration, apply it, and constantly check our website to be aware when a newer version is available.
