Intel has made available for download a new version of its PROSet/Wireless drivers and software, namely 18.30.0, which is suitable for both IT administrators and home/business customers who do not need advanced tools.

Regarding compatibility, the present release is targeted only at Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 and 10 operating systems, both 32- and 64-bit architectures.

Besides the OS, the configurations must also include one of Intel’s Wireless-N 7260 or 7265 adapters, Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 or 7265 devices, or Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 or 3165 models. Moreover, the producer’s Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260, 7265, and 8260 components are also compatible with this update.

In terms of changes, Intel didn’t make available any Release Notes whatsoever. Considering this fact, I can only assume that version 18.30.0 improves overall stability and usability.

Therefore, if you intend to upgrade your adapter’s version, make sure to download and unzip the appropriate package that best suits your needs, run the available setup file, and follow all instructions displayed for a complete and successful installation.

Moreover, once this process has finished, it is recommended to reboot your computer to allow the changes to take effect properly.

That said, download Intel PROSet/Wireless 18.30.0, install it on your computer, and constantly check our website in order to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
