Today, ASUS rolled out a new firmware version compatible with its RT-N18U and RT-AC66U wireless routers, namely version 378.9459, which resolves the devices’ PPPoE multicast bugs, as well as the time scheduling warning page issues.

In addition to that, the current build fixes the Bandwidth limiter related bugs, changes the Bandwidth limiter strings in Czech, and resolves the UI problems spotted when logging in with a smartphone browser.

Last but not least, ASUS’ developers managed to remove the unnecessary messages in system log displayed when enabling tunneling, as well as to fix the OpenVPN server configuration file exporting bugs.

As for installation, just save and unzip the downloadable archive, establish a wired connection between the router and a computer, and log into its administration page. Afterwards, go to the Firmware Upgrade section, hit “Browse,” navigate and select the newly extracted firmware file, click “Upload,” and wait as the router applies the new firmware.

However, bear in mind that removing the Ethernet/power cable from either device, turning off the router or the computer, or interrupting this process in any way can lead to serious malfunctions.

Therefore, download ASUS RT-N18U Router Firmware 378.9459 or download ASUS RT-AC66U Router Firmware 378.9459, apply it to your wireless unit, and enjoy the changes brought by this new update. Also, constantly check our website to be up to speed with the latest releases.
