ASUS has rolled out a new firmware update developed for its RT-AC87U wireless router, namely version 3.0.0.4.378.9529, which improves overall stability and performance by fixing several issues and removing various bugs.

Specifically speaking, the present release fixes the IPTV GUI issue, resolves the network map device icon, and removes the wrong notification displayed when client was blocked by Time scheduling.

In addition to that, ASUS has managed to allow RT-AC87U clients to get a new IP address when changing the router IP and subnet mask, resolve Multicast issues spotted when WAN is PPPoE/ PPTP/ L2TP, and fix The DNS response error.

Last but not least, build 378.9529 also fixes the ASUS Router App-related issues, the view list in network map, and the mac address problem for two different guest networks, and corrects the improper notification shown when using quick internet setup wizard in a static IP environment.

When it comes to installation, just save and unzip the downloadable archive, establish a wired connection between the RT-AC87U unit and your computer, log into its administration page, and use the newly extracted .trx file to upgrade the router to the latest firmware version.
