The new update resolves issues with EQ presets and Custom EQ

Just now, FiiO has rolled out its 1.2 firmware package compatible with the new 2nd Generation X1 portable music player, which promises to fix problems regarding EQ Presets and Custom EQ, as well as some distortions when playing AAC files.

If applied, the present release removes a bug that caused hang-ups when deleting a folder under playing or unresponsiveness when changing tracks in certain settings, and fixes the impulsive sound heard when powering off with a docking station.

In addition to that, the firmware makes sure holding shortcut buttons won’t go to Now playing instead of quick search, corrects the event where Bluetooth sound output was very loud, and fixes the issue where songs would play automatically with no sound output under in-vehicle mode.

Last but not least, FiiO manages to remove an output bug that didn’t set back as PO after plugging and unplugging, resolve a no sound output event in specific settings, as well as implement various bug fixes.

When it comes to installation, save and unzip the downloadable archive, copy the X1II.fw onto a microSD card, make sure the player’s battery is fully charged and turn off the device, and hold the upper left and power buttons to initiate the upgrade.

Afterwards, simply follow all instructions displayed, configure the preferred interface language once more, update the media library (recommended), and remove the memory card.

With this in mind, download FiiO X1 2nd Gen Portable Player Firmware 1.2, carefully apply it on your device, and check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
