This update improves compatibility with some routers

Two of Fujifilm’s X series digital cameras, namely the X-H1 and X-E3 imaging devices, have received firmware version 1.12 and 1.22, respectively, which implement stability improvements for connection with some wireless router models.

If you are one of the few unlucky owners that encountered this problem, then you should take into account updating the firmware to this release.

To do so, initialize a memory card using the camera’s format options, save and copy the downloadable “FWUP00xx.DAT” onto the card’s root directory, and insert it into the X-series unit while it’s powered off (make sure the battery is fully charged).

Now, turn on the camera while holding “Back” button, select “OK” at the battery-related message that appears regardless of any situation, and initiate the upgrade process by choosing “OK” at the next pop-ups.

Bear in mind that while the camera is updating, you mustn’t turn it off, remove its memory card, disconnect the battery, or make use of its controllers. Doing so will lead to an upgrade failure but might also render the device unusable.

Wait patiently about 90 seconds for the installation to complete, turn the camera off once the upgrade has finished, and remove and format the memory card used in this process.

Now that you know all you need to improve your camera successfully, download Fujifilm X-H1 Camera Firmware 1.12 or download Fujifilm X-E3 Camera Firmware 1.22, and apply it on your device. Also, you might want to often check with our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
