The new update resolves a few SnapBridge-related issues

Today, Nikon has rolled out a new firmware package developed for its COOLPIX B700 digital camera, namely version 1.1, which manages to resolve a few SnapBridge-related issues, as well as improve the unit’s overall stability.

Specifically speaking, the current update improves the reliability of photo and movie transfer when using SnapBridge applications and fixes an occasional problem where location data added using the SnapBridge wouldn’t be displayed correctly.

In addition to that, Nikon’s 1.1 firmware also removes a rare bug that caused photographs to be recorded in black and white regardless of the camera’s settings.

Therefore, if you have encountered these issues and consider an upgrade, first of all, ensure the currently installed version isn’t either newer or matching this release, and only afterward download and run the appropriate file for your configuration.

Take into account that the producer has provided separate files for both Mac OS and Windows platforms. Also, it would be a good idea to back up all images and important files stored on the camera’s internal memory before initiating an upgrade.

With this in mind, transfer the newly created “firmware” folder onto a formatted memory card, insert it into the camera and turn it on, select Firmware Version, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete and successful installation.

Last but not least, once finished, it would be a good idea to remove and format the memory card used in this process and check the currently installed firmware to make sure it reads version 1.1.

That said, download Nikon COOLPIX B700 Camera Firmware 1.1, apply it using the steps above, and check back with us as often as possible to be aware when a newer version is available for your camera.
