Just now, Fujifilm has announced the availability of a new firmware version targeted at its X-T10 and FinePix S8600 cameras, namely 1.01, which includes several fixes that will improve the cameras’ overall performance.

Focusing on the producer’s new X-T10 unit, this camera receives Eye Detection AF speed improvements when used along with XF90mmF2 R LM WR lens, and is now able to transfer images to a Windows 10 computer via USB.

In addition to that, its firmware fixes the angle difference spotted between jpeg images converted in a camera and the ones converted from RAW file, and adds operational improvements to the Fn1 function button, including the ability to change its setting.

As for the FinePix S8600 device, the producer has managed to resolve a rare issue where saturation of recorded still images could become lower, depending on a shooting situation.

When it comes to installation, first of all, bear in mind that your camera might be rendered unusable in the event of an upgrade failure. Therefore, make sure to use a fully charged battery, and never turn off or use the camera’s buttons while installation is in progress.

If all is OK, save the appropriate file for your model, transfer it onto a formatted memory card, and insert it into the camera (must be turned off). Afterwards, power the imaging unit on while pressing “Disp/Back” button, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen.

That being said, download Fujifilm X-T10 Camera Firmware 1.01 or download Fujifilm FinePix S8600 Camera Firmware 1.01, carefully apply it on your device, and constantly check our website in order to be up to speed with the latest releases.
