The new firmware release improves the player’s jitter issue

FiiO has announced the availability of a new firmware package targeted at its X7 MKII (X7 Mark II) audio player, namely version 1.0.3, which makes sure the embedded album art of certain APE tracks is displayed properly, and more.

Specifically speaking, the current update removes a bug that prevented some MP3 files from being played and fixes the issue where playback wouldn’t replay a song when pressing the Previous button after more than 10 seconds.

In addition to that, FiiO corrects the phenomenon where the sound was abnormal when playing mono or 5.1 channel tracks, and resolves the jitter issue spotted when using fast forward, rewind, play, or pause music functions.

When it comes to installation, first of all, make sure the X7 MKII unit is fully charged and switch it from Pure Music to Android mode, save the downloadable archive and transfer it onto a memory card, and insert it into the player.

Now, go to Technical support > Firmware Update > Local Upgrade > external_sd1, select the zip update package, hit the “Ok” button, and wait patiently; the unit will automatically reboot and enter update mode.

Once finished, the FiiO device will reboot once more in Android mode; switch back to Pure Music manually. Still, make sure not to operate the player during the update as this can lead to malfunctions.

That said, download FiiO X7 MKII Portable Player Firmware 1.0.3, apply it to your unit to enjoy these new changes, and check out our website constantly to stay “updated one minute ago.”
