14 DAY TRIAL // Biostar has released the drivers required by its latest additions to the Intel Z270 motherboard series, namely the Z270GT9 Ver. 5.x, Z270GT8 Ver. 5.x, and Z270GT6 Ver. 5.x device models, which should provide improved performance and usability.
In terms of producers that provide the drivers, know that Intel puts on the line its Chipset, Management Engine (ME), Rapid Storage Technology (RST), and RST Preinstall packages, while Realtek enables the full functionality of the audio card.
In addition to that, Intel also takes care of the device’s network capabilities via its Ethernet drivers, and ASMedia installs its USB 3.1 package to ensure high data transfer speeds.
Moreover, Intel also applies its HD Graphics build to improve the CPU’s gaming performance. However, additional display drivers will be required to ensure maximum graphics performance in the event a dedicated GPU is installed (this depends on what GPU model you have).
When it comes to compatibility, the available files are suitable for both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 operating systems. However, bear in mind that not all drivers are supported on each and every one of the platforms mentioned above.
As for installation, to properly apply these drivers, just save and extract the files, run the available setups one at a time, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.
