Intel has made available a new BIOS package compatible with its DN2820FYKH Next Unit Computing Kit, namely version 0054, which applies the 2.2.20 Visual BIOS and adds the Windows firmware update function.

In addition to that, the producer managed to implement various security enhancements, improve the BIOS update function by disabling the keyboard and power button during the flash/recovery process, and lower the time it takes to enter recovery menu to 4 seconds.

Moreover, BIOS 0054 also resolved the issue where users could still access restricted Setup options, such as Minimum/Maximum Duty Cycle (%) and Primary/Secondary Temperature Sensor, even though User Access Level was set to limited.

When it comes to installing the present release, you should know that Intel has provided four downloadable files, which must be used in differentiated situations.

Specifically speaking, the .BIO package can update the BIOS through an F7 update method, as well as recover it from an unstable state, while the iflash BIOS Update archive is only able to perform an upgrade from a DOS environment.

As for the other two Express BIOS Update executables (one for each bit architecture), these files can help you install version 0054 by simply running them from a Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 OS, and following the instructions.

That said, download Intel DN2820FYKH NUC Kit BIOS 0054 for the appropriate product, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and carefully update your NUC. Also, constantly check our website to be up to speed with the latest releases.
