Intel has rolled out a new BIOS package targeted at its STK2m364CC and STK2m3W64CC compute sticks, namely version 0032, which updates CPU microcode, modifies TPM setting, and fixes issue that caused the devices to hang.

In addition to that, the update resolves the 4K monitors bug by changing the “DVMT Pre-Allocated” default to 64MB, and removes bugs that could have caused OA3 to fail, as well as bluescreens when waking up from S3.

Moreover, Intel decided to change RC6 (Render Standby) default to disable, update ME (Management Engine) to v1202, as well as display the recovery progress in the power button menu when using F4 Recovery.

In terms of installation, the producer has provided several downloadable files describing three different flashing methods: Recovery, iflash, and Express BIOS Update procedures.

The Recovery file is used for an F7 BIOS Update technique, whereas the iflash-related archive can apply the new version only from a USB or CD drive, and only through a DOS command prompt.

As for the 2 Express BIOS Update executables, if you intend to use them, you must run these packages directly from a Windows 8.1 or 10 platform (a file for each bit architecture).

Either way, while installing, make sure not to turn off/reboot the device, remove the power cable, or interrupt the process in any way. Doing so can cause serious device malfunctions and might even render the device unstable.
