The update improves performance for Assassin's Creed Odyssey

AMD has made available a new version of its Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics driver, namely 18.9.3, which improves the gaming performance for titles like Forza Horizon 4 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey (by up to 5% depending on the GPU model).

Specifically speaking, when using a Radeon RX 580 card, the current update increases performance by up to 3% in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, while a Radeon RX Vega 64 GPU is 5% faster when playing the same game (compared to Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.9.1).

In addition to that, AMD manages to remove stutter seen when exceeding Radeon FreeSync range, as well as fix the random reboot experienced by system configurations with 16 CPU cores when upgrading from Radeon Adrenalin Edition 18.8.1 or older.

However, AMD might still encounter issues with Ryzen Desktop Processors and Radeon RX Vega Series graphics products, and other problems highlighted in the Release Notes below.

Regarding compatibility, besides the supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 32- or 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 or 10 operating system. Moreover, the producer has also provided an “Auto-Detect and Install” utility that downloads and applies the correct package for your configuration.

Therefore, to upgrade to this version, uninstall any previous AMD driver present on your computer, perform a reboot, save and run the appropriate executable (or get the Minimal Setup Utility), and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete and successful upgrade.

With this in mind, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 18.9.3, install it and perform a reboot once finished to enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
