Today, Dovado has announced the availability of a new firmware package compatible with its Tiny AC and Pro router models, namely version 8.4.0, which adds support for Z-wave multi-channel relay and replaces Wizard and Manual popup windows.

In addition to that, this version will force two free IPs to act as placeholders in the Connection Tracker, as well as include compatibility with Vodafone K5160, MegaFon M150-2, D-Link DWM-157, Huawei E5573s-156, and Huawei E5573s-320 USB modems.

Moreover, besides the aforementioned changes, Dovado’s Tiny AC unit has also received support for new features, such as Home Automation, Mobile User Interface (UI), API (for 3rd-party apps), and SpotBoost WiFi Tethering via Mobile UI.

When it comes to installation, first of all, save and unzip the appropriate package for your router model, log into its web interface (username and password should be required), and go to Upgrade > HTTP Upgrade page.

Afterwards, locate and select the newly extracted .bin file, click “Start HTTP Upgrade” button, and wait patiently as the router does its job. This process takes around 3 minutes to complete, so make sure not to interrupt it in any way.

That said, download Dovado Tiny AC Router Firmware 8.4.0 or download Dovado PRO Router Firmware 8.4.0, apply it on your device, and constantly check our website to be aware when a newer version is available.
