Just now, Dovado has made available the 8.4.1 firmware package developed specifically for its newly released PRO AC universal access router model, which adds vertical scrollbar on DHCP and HOST lists and allows SSIDs containing “<” and “>” characters.

In addition to that, the present firmware resolves a problem with config being emailed when new live firmware is available. Moreover, it removes the bug with Remote Management accidentally enabling if Home Automation is manually enabled.

When it comes to installation, first of all, check the device’s currently installed firmware to make sure it isn’t either newer or matching the present release, and if all is OK, download the package for your router.

Afterwards, unzip the archive, log into the router’s web interface (username and password should be required), and go to Upgrade > HTTP Upgrade page. Now, locate and select the newly extracted .bin file, click “Start HTTP Upgrade” button, and wait patiently as the router does its job.

This process takes around 3 minutes to complete, so make sure not to interrupt it in any way. Doing so can lead to various malfunctions and can even render the device unusable.

That said, download Dovado PRO AC Router Firmware 8.4.1, apply it on your device, and constantly check our website to be aware when a newer version is available.
