The release fixes SSID issue with names containing a space

Today, Dovado has made available a new firmware package targeted at its Tiny AC and PRO router models, namely version 8.2.2, which fixes an issue with Port Forwarding encountered when destination port is lower than source port, and more.

Specifically speaking, this update also resolves problems with SSID names that have spaces when 802.11AC standard is used on Tiny AC devices, and with Connection Tracker that behaved improperly when using Redial & Restart.

In addition to that, version 8.2. 2 removes a bug that caused responses for SMS commands to always be sent over primary connection, and includes compatibility with Huawei E3372 4G USB modem.

When it comes to installation, simply save and unzip the downloadable archive on your computer, log into the router’s administration page (username and password should be requested), and go to Upgrade > HTTP Upgrade page.

While there, it would also be a good idea to check the unit’s currently installed firmware in order to make sure it isn’t either newer or matching this release.

If all is ok, hit the “Browse” button, navigate and select the newly-extracted .bin file, choose “Start HTTP Upgrade,” and the router will do its job. Also, make sure not to interrupt this process in any way, as doing so might cause serious malfunctions.

That being said, download Dovado PRO Router Firmware 8.2.2 or download Dovado Tiny AC Router Firmware 8.2.2, carefully apply it on your device, and enjoy the changes this new release brings about.
