The new update simplifies the setup of E-mail notifications

Dovado has just rolled out a new firmware package compatible with its Tiny AC and Pro wireless routers, namely version 8.2.0, which improves the security level by including SMS and E-mail alerts for failed login attempts (wrong user credentials).

In addition to that, this release implements SMTP templates to make the E-Mail notification setup more easy, displays connected Mobile Operator Network on the Internet Status page, and gives the ability to enable or disable Port-Forwarding rules.

If this version is applied, the routers will benefit from new options, such as Group Dimming in Home Automation (for Pro models) and Store multiple SpotBoost profiles (for Tiny AC models).

Moreover, the new firmware will make the WiFi-Tethering (SpotBoost) signal strength visible on the Tiny AC’s Status Bar as well as the Internet Status Page.

As for newly-supported devices, version 8.2.0 includes compatibility with Alcatel L850, Huawei E3372, and ZTE MF831 4G USB modems, Huawei K4203 3G USB modems, and Huawei E5377Ts-32 and E5377s mobile Hotspot devices.

When it comes to installation, first of all make sure your router’s currently installed firmware isn’t either newer or matching the present release. If all is ok, save and unzip the appropriate downloadable archive, and establish a wired connection between your device and the computer.

Now, log into its administration page, navigate to the Firmware Update section, and use the newly-extracted .bin file to upgrade your router to the present release.

That being said, download Dovado PRO Router Firmware 8.2.0 or download Dovado Tiny AC Router Firmware 8.2.0, follow the aforementioned steps, and upgrade your wireless unit to the latest version.
